Crown & Bridge Fabrication
Our crown and bridge laboratory is able to manufacture several different types of dental crowns and bridges, depending on the patient’s needs and the dentist’s recommendations. These include:
Porcelain-Fused-to-Metal (PFM) Crowns
PFM crowns consist of a durable metal base covered with a porcelain veneer. They are a popular option because they maintain the aesthetic appearance of the tooth and provide a more secure fit as opposed to an all-porcelain crown. At Toothwerks, Inc, we utilize a wide range of quality metal materials for our PFM crowns, including noble metals such as titanium and gold alloys, which prevent risk of allergic reactions.
Full-Cast Gold Crowns
Full-cast gold crowns are recognized for their superior strength and ability to restore function to even severely decayed teeth. Because they are not tooth-colored, they are not as aesthetically appealing and are therefore recommended for back molars that are not noticeable in the smile. Our laboratory uses only the highest quality noble and semi-precious gold when crafting these restorations, so that the patient will not experience any irritation or allergic reaction.
Toothwerks, Inc is the only authorized BruxZir® laboratory in Eastern North Carolina, offering the highest quality zirconia material. BruxZir® zirconia features a subtle translucence that imitates a real tooth, allowing it to create some of the most natural-looking, aesthetically appealing crowns. Plus, BruxZir® is a high-strength material that can withstand chewing and biting forces without fracturing, so it will last for many years and restore proper function to the smile.
If a patient is missing teeth, their smile can be restored with implant crowns. Implant crowns offer significantly more stability and security than removable dentures and are often longer lasting than dental bridges. We are able to utilize several different high-quality materials when creating implant crowns, such as noble metals and zirconia, based on the patients’ needs.
Utilizing Digital Technology to Best Meet Your Needs
At Toothwerks, Inc, we are committed to staying up-to-date on the latest technologies and techniques in the industry in order to provide the highest quality restorations for dentists and their patients. Through our usage of digital technology, we are able to create restorations with superior precision, so you know that they will fit your patients’ smiles perfectly. We use CAD/CAM (computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing) systems that efficiently devise custom crowns and bridges in a shorter amount of time as compared to traditional methods.
